TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION: Work to be performed under this project includes the removal of existing traffic signals and street lighting, and the installation of new traffic signals and street lighting, together with related electrical work. Each BID must be accompanied by a certified check payable to the City of Newport for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the BID. A BID bond may be used in lieu of a certified check. Sealed BIDS shall be marked in the lower left-hand corner: "Bid: Causeway Traffic Signal & Street Lighting" BIDDER hereby agrees to commence WORK under this contract on or before a date to be specified in the NOTICE TO PROCEED and to fully complete the PROJECT on or before the August 30, 2024 Final Completion date for this contract. BIDDER further agrees to pay as liquidated damages, the sum of $100.00 for each consecutive day thereafter as provided in Section 15 of the General Conditions.
