The work under this contract consists of supplying a stockpile of sand for our salt sand operation. We are looking for a 3-year commitment to provide a stockpile of sand, to be stored in your pit, that Vilas County may haul from throughout the summer and fall. We are looking for a stockpile in the Eagle River area and the Boulder Jct. areas. Both stockpiles should have a minimum of 25,000 tons of sand available for county use for the three-year term. Bidders may bid on just the Eagle River area, Boulder Jct. area or both (note: a single pit may service both areas if noted as such in the bid form below.). Vilas County will select the winning bid based on all the bids submitted in each category i.e., Eagle River area, Boulder Jct. area (note: if a bidder chooses to use one pit to service both areas, the bid will be entered into each category above and compared with the other bids in those categories. A combined bid will only be selected if that bid results in being the lowest bid for both areas after trucking costs are calculated). The bidder understands that Vilas County may be using the bidders pit for the purposes of manufacturing the sand/salt mixture after the sand has been stockpiled. Unit price will remain constant for the three-year term. Vilas County shall be granted free access (keys, security codes, etc.) to the pit of the successful bidder for removal of the sand.
