Site work for a water / sewer project in Summit, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work involved in the project includes the replacement of electrical/control equipment at the Peters Street Water Treatment Plant and rehabilitation of an existing 100,000-gallon concrete clear well and replacement of a 1,000-gallon aerator at the MLK Jr. Drive Water Treatment Plant as described in the construction drawings and specifications. Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material and/or supply needs. The successful bidder must comply with the Davis-Bacon Act which requires that all laborers and mechanics shall be paid at rates not less than those determined by the Department of Labor to be prevailing for the locality in which the project is located. The Town of Summit reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any and/or all bids.
