Renovation of a water / sewer project in Shepherd, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
**As of August 17, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. Award is anticipated the end of the month or the beginning of next month to Valley..** This project has three separate contracts being bid out and awarded. They are Contract 1 - Watermain Replacement, Contract 2 - Water Meter Replacements, and Contract 3 - New Gas Generator. Contract 1 - Watermain Replacement includes replacement and looping of approx. 21,000 feet of 8" watermains, water service line replacements, associated cold milling, HMA replacement, curb and gutter replacement, sidewalk removal and replacement along with lawn restoration with other appurtenances. Scope also includes replacement of lead service lines from new watermains to inside the customer's structure. Contract 2 - Water Meter Replacements includes providing and installing 635 water meters in the sizes specified while coordinating all work with the Village and Village Customers. Contract 3 - New Gas Generator includes providing and installing new 36 KW Gas Generator and 400 Amp Automatic Transfer Switch within the Water Plant. This work is being performed in accordance with and funded through an EGLE Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) program. WAGES: This project is subject to prevailing wages. Bids will be accepted only from Plan Holders of Record
