Flow Equalization Basin (FEB) sampling results shows 30 percent of soluble carbon degradation happens in FEBs due to stratification before wastewater is introduced to the Modified Ludzack Ettinger (MLE) process. To avoid this mechanical mixing should be added to the FEBs Project is included in the City of Thousand Oaks' Fiscal Years 2023-2024/2024-2025 CIP Budget. As of May 27, 2025, this project is in the conceptual phase and won't begin design for approximately 6 more months. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
