A professional quote was developed when evaluating all of the fields in North Kingstown. Improvements that were recommended vary depending on location: laser grading, fence repair, safety netting and capping, realigning base lines, adjustments to irrigation, overseeding, infield replacement, mound replacement, bleacher, and dugout work among many other individualized items. Fields/areas of improvement are Wilson Park, Ryan Park, Fuerer Park, McGinn Park and Signal Rock. This cost will get all of our fields to a better standing in order to continually maintain and keep up with them as they should be throughout the years. Annual budgeting will be required for upkeep. Fields would be more appealing for rentals and for home tournaments. Highway and facilities can assist with some tasks to save funds. New Recreation maintenance department has started the work in house. This project is included in the Town of North Kingstown's FY 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of February 15, 2024, information regarding a design team or a general contractor is not available.
