Menominee Area Public Schools is soliciting proposals for the cleaning of all supply and return ductwork, dampers, registers, grilles, diffusers, coils, AHUs, VAV systems, etc. This HVAC system is on the first,second and roof levels of Areas 4 and 5 associated with the 2022 Menominee JR/SR High Renovation. An accompanying Ductwork Plan is attached to this solicitation. The HVAC system comprises 5 separate systems: 4 relatively large systems with approximately 80 +/- supply registers each and 1 smaller system. This project is being undertaken to clean the internal components of a brand-new HVAC system, prior to commissioning, due to the ingress and contamination with construction debris or dust. It is also considered that contamination by asbestos during assembly of the HVAC systems may also have occurred but has not been analytically proven via testing. Contractor must be a member of the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) and will follow the NADCA Standard for the assessment and cleaning of said HVAC systems via negative pressure methods (2013 and 2021 Standards). Contractor will also employ a Certified Ventilation Specialist to design and oversee the cleaning of the HVAC system and Air Systems Cleaning Specialists (ASCS) or equivalently trained Technicians. It is anticipated that the project will be conducted in such a way as one HVAC system will be cleaned per week (4 to 5 weeks total for entire project) using at least 5 trained Technicians beginning in the middle of June 2023. At the completion of project or completion of the cleaning of each of the 5 HVAC systems (as necessary and appropriate) the system will be commissioned and the air sampled for contaminants to prove cleaning was successful.
