Renovation of a residential development in Newton, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
The City of Newton is soliciting proposals for General Contractors Only for two (2) home rehabilitations. The City of Newton has received a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Scattered Site Housing Project to rehabilitate homes. The houses to be rehabilitated are located on W. Davis Avenue (DoubleWide) and Ann Avenue (House). These jobs consist of installation of a siding, guttering, exterior doors, windows, crawlspace door, vapor barrier, deck, some electrical upgrades, plumbing work: handicap shower, toilet, bathroom vanity; floor covering, interior painting, as well as other carpentry work. The City of Newton reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any informalities as may be permitted by law All plumbing, heating and electrical subcontractors must be properly licensed under the North Carolina State Laws governing their respective trades at the time of submitting the bids.
