Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Newington, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
As of November 30, 2023, an award is pending. The scope of work also includes, but is not limited to roadway widening, approximately 330 linear feet of sidewalk, 350 linear feet of asphalt walkway, ADA compliant ramps, curb and combination curb and gutter, detectable warning surfaces, storm drains, storm drain structures, Stormwater management Facility, traffic signal works, milling, paving, pavement marking, roadway signs and other associated works. This is a UNIT price Contract. Contract length is 426 calendar days. All questions concerning the project shall be submitted in writing to the Director, Utilities Design & Construction Division, Department of Public Works and Environmental Services, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Suite 463, Fairfax, VA 22035-0056, or by emailing DPWESCAPUDCDTransportationInquiry@fairfaxcounty.gov,and to be given consideration, must be received at least seven (7) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of the bids. This office is the only point where information will be disseminated. Fairfax Countys Prevailing Wage Ordinance Applies to This Contract The Board of Supervisors of Fairfax County, Virginia reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities and irregularities in bidding and to accept bids which are considered to be in the best interest of the County
