The City of Bedford is soliciting sealed bids for the construction of water main improvements on Airport Freeway (SH183) from Oakhurst Drive to Tennis Drive, Bedford Road from Brown Trail to Norwood Drive, Brown Trail from Bedford Road to Pipeline Road, and Robindale Drive/Court from Martha Drive to Wade Drive. The project includes the installation of: Airport Freeway (SH-183) - Approximately 710 linear feet of 8" AWWA C151 restrained joint ductile iron water pipe, including 195 linear feet installed by boring with 20" steel casing and 325 linear feet installed by pipe bursting. Bedford Road - Approximately 1,935 linear feet of 8" AWWA C900 DR-18 PVC water pipe and 40 linear feet of 8" AWWA C151 restrained joint ductile iron water pipe by boring with 20" steel casing. Brown Trail - Approximately 4,010 linear feet of 12" AWWA C900 DR-18 PVC water pipe. Robindale Drive/Court - Approximately 820 linear feet of 8" AWWA C900 DR-18 PVC water pipe and 375 linear feet of 6" AWWA C900 DR-18 PVC water pipe. And related appurtenances (fire hydrants, valves, connections to existing water lines, and service lines), and all incidental work as indicated on the plans. The City of Bedford is soliciting sealed bids for the construction of wastewater improvements (not SWIFT funded) on Chattanooga Drive from Savannah Way to Richmond Drive, Bedford Road from Brown Trail to Valley View Court, Brown Trail from Hurst Drive to easement west of Glenda Drive, and in easements north and south of Robindale Drive from Martha Drive to Wade Drive. The project includes the installation of: Chattanooga Dr - Approximately 1,330 linear feet of 8" ASTM D3034 DR-26 PVC wastewater pipe. Bedford Road - Approximately 1,755 linear feet of 12" ASTM D3034 DR-26 PVC wastewater pipe and 240 linear feet of 8" ASTM D3034 DR-26 PVC wastewater pipe. Brown Trail - Approximately 890 linear feet of 8" ASTM D3034 DR-26 PVC wastewater pipe and 250 linear feet of 8" ASTM D3350 DR-21 HDPE wastewater pipe. Robindale Drive - Approximately 2,195 linear feet of 8" ASTM D3350 DR-21 HDPE wastewater pipe. And related appurtenances (manholes, cleanouts and services), and all incidental work as indicated on the plans. No pre-bid meeting is scheduled for this project. This contract is contingent upon release of funds from the Texas Water Development Board. Any contract or contracts awarded under this Invitation for Bids are expected to be funded in part by a loan from the Texas Water Development Board. Neither the State of Texas nor any of its departments, agencies, or employees are or will be a party to this Invitation for Bids or any resulting contract. Any contract(s) awarded under this Invitation for Bids is/are subject to the United States Iron and Steel (US I&S) requirements of Texas Water Code 17.183 and/or Texas Government Code, Chapter 2252, Subchapter F, as amended by SB 1289, 85 th Legislative Session, as applicable. A cashiers check or acceptable bidders bond payable to the City of Bedford, Texas in the amount of not less than 5% of the largest possible total for the bid submitted, must accompany the bid. Prospective Bidders must register with the procurement website as a plan holder, even if the contact documents are obtained from a plan room or other site. All official notifications, addenda and other documents will be offered only through the procurement website. In the case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in the prices of the proposal, the City reserves the right to accept the most advantageous contract thereof to the City, or to reject the proposal.
