In addition, the contractor shall perform earthwork on fill slope and place riprap to protect the fill slope at locations as shown in the project plans. Roadway Reconditioning: Mile post 0.00 to mile post 3.08. Location for performance is on the Red River Ranger District on the Nez Perce - Clearwater National Forests. The specific roads to be reconditioned are listed. Standard industry practice indicates use of a motor grader with a moldboard blade and scarified to effectively perform this type of work. Some roads or road segments may require scarification in conjunction with blading in order to cut out washboards and potholes. The road surface is to be compacted to specifications. The use of water trucks may be required as needed during dry conditions. Diches and catch basins are to be cleared of debris and sediment. All culverts are to be cleaned of debris and sediment.
