The City of Show Low is extending an invitation for bids for the City Park Tree Thinning City of Show Low Project No. FM-6123 in the City of Show Low. This project is sponsored through a Healthy Forest Initiative Grant from the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management. The scope of work includes the treatment (thinning) of approximately 9 acres at Show Low City Park. The project's objective is to reduce hazardous fuels and vegetation to protect property and assets in the community of Show Low. This will be accomplished by reducing the average understory canopy height from 6-8ft. to 0-2 ft. and reducing the overstory basal area per acre (BA/Acre) to 60-80 sq/ft. per acre. The contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment, transportation, clean-up and disposal to provide a complete project. The work shall take place at Show Low City Park 1100 West Deuce of Clubs, Show Low, Arizona, 85901.
