The City of Pleasant Hill (City) operates a non-potable water system, the Diablo Vista Water System (DVWS), which supplies irrigation water to approximately 470 homes within the City. Water is supplied to the DVWS by the Diablo Vista Pump Station (DVPS), which draws water from an untreated canal operated by Contra Costa Water District (CCWD). The existing 12" water main has begun to leak and fail, and replacement of the piping is needed to continue to provide reliable service to the water system. Phase I, completed in 2018 replaced approximately 1,200 linear feet of the 12" pipe. The Phase II project will remove and replace approximately 700 linear feet of 12" water main from the pump house to Stevenson Drive, and from Oakvue Road to Roberta Avenue including all valves, laterals and necessary appurtenances. This project is included in the City of Pleasant Hill's FY 2024-2027 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of March 25, 2024, information regarding a design team or a general contractor is not available.
