Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in San Diego, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.

1.1 The Contractor shall provide services to replace the Refrigeration Unit, Walk-In, Combination Cooler/Freezer at the California Department of Corrections (CDCR) Custody to Community Transitional Reentry Program (CCTRP) located at 3050 Armstrong Street, San Diego, CA 92111. The Contractor will be compensated for the services in accordance with the service rate specified on Exhibit B-1, Public Works Rate Sheet; which shall include all labor, insurance, bonds, licenses, travel and per diem, materials, non- consumable supplies, transportation, equipment (including rental), training of key institution personnel and every other item of expense necessary to provide the services. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), hereafter referred to as the State, is inviting responses to this Invitation For Bid (IFB) entitled "Refrigeration Unit, Walk-In Combination Cooler/Freezer Replacement" for the Custody to Community Transitional Reentry Program (CCTRP) San Diego, located at 3050 Armstrong Street, San Diego, CA 92111. Letters of Inquiry 3:00 p.m., on June 23, 2023 The State's estimate for this Agreement is $115,000.00. Termination of Agreement 365 Calendar Days from NTP Submit your letter of inquiry by the date/time specified in the Projected Timetable Section I, directly to Kathy Reyna, Contracts Management Branch, by any of the following:E-mail:Katherine.reyna@cdcr.ca.gov Inquiries received after this date will only be addressed at CDCR's discretion. Refrigeration Unit, Walk-In, Combination Cooler/Freezer Lot to include, but not limited to: A. Cam lock style insulated panels B. Cooler and freezer door replacement with all associated hardware. Flush mounted, self- closing with magnetic gasket. The cooler shall include a view window. C. All interior finishes and exterior finishes of cooler and freezer box shall be as follows: 1. Interior wall finish: Stainless Steel 2. Interior ceiling finish: Stainless Steel 3. Exterior unexposed finish: Embossed galv. 4. Exterior exposed finish: Stainless Steel D. Insulation: 4" Foamed in place polyurethane E. All lighting (LED), sprinklers, light switches, digital thermometer and heated pressure port in freezer. 1. Remote refrigeration system with smart controls for cooler and freezer 2. All mechanical and electrical equipment necessary for refrigeration equipment. F. All line sets necessary for mechanical equipment 1. Freezer to include prefab 4" insulated 18 GA Sani Steel slip resistant floor. 2. The existing tile shall be removed. 3. Refrigerator shall include the removal and replacement of all damaged floor tile. 4. Refrigeration: A. Cooler: (1) 1-1/4 HP medium temp. R-448 Condensing unit with balancing evaporator 208/230/1 B. Freezer: (1) 2 HP low temp. R-448a condensing unit with balancing evaporator 208/230/1 3.2 All condensing units shall be provided with pressure controls, timer, sight glass and dryer. (All factory installed and shipped under pressure). A. All evaporator coils are to be provided with expansion valves, solenoids and thermostat. All factory installed and shipped under pressure must meet all California Energy Commission and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Air Quality Management District (AQMD) Regulations as of January 1, 2021 and Department of Industrial Relations requirements per Senate Bill 854. 3.3 The Contractor shall: A. Demolish and remove existing equipment. B. Disconnect electrical, refrigeration and drains from existing walk-in box. C. Demolish existing walk-in box, haul away and dispose of as per EPA/AQMD requirements. D. Be responsible for the delivery and installation of the new combination cooler/freezer and associated equipment. E. Be responsible for the electrical hook-up of unit and the compressor. F. Install and hook-up condensate lines and cooling lines between refrigerator and freezer. G. Must include all necessary permits, including State Fire Marshal permits.
