The Whatcom County Public Works Maintenance & Operations Division is requesting bids from qualified firms interested in providing Whatcom County the annual supply of asphaltic mixes (hot and cold mix). The bidder must provide both the equipment and operator for this service. The successful bidder(s) will be required to follow all Department of Labor & Industries reporting, including payment of Prevailing Wage Rates, as well as following all other public work requirements. The contractor(s) may be required to participate in the E-Verify program as required by County policy. Whatcom County affirms it will not discriminate against, or grant preferential treatment to any individual or group on the basis of race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin in the operation of public employment, public education, or public contracting. Whatcom County encourages disadvantaged, minority, and women owned firms to respond. Whatcom County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive any irregularities.
