Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of bids or authorized postponement thereof. Any bid received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. No bidder may withdraw a bid within ninety (90) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Bidders may withdraw Bid at any time up to the scheduled time for opening of bids with no penalty or damage assessment. No Bid may be modified after the bid opening Bid Security shall not be required for this project. Bidder must agree to commence work on or before the date specified in the written Notice to Proceed of the Owner and to fully complete the contract within (45) calendar days. Bidder must agree to pay as liquidated damages as summarized below for each consecutive calendar day beyond the critical period (7/14/2024 @ 6:00 am - 7/27/2023 @ 12:00 pm) of 14 days or the 45 day substantial completion construction period as hereinafter provided for in the General Conditions, as time is of the essence. Furnish and pay for Bonds covering faithful performance of the Contract and payment of all obligations arising there under. Furnish Bonds in the amount of 100% of Bid sum and in such order as the Owner may prescribe and with Surety Company acceptable to the Owner and authorizes to do business in Pennsylvania The Owner reserves the right to accept any Bid, and to reject any and all Bids, and to waive any irregularities or informalities in the Bids.
