Demolition, site work and asbestos abatement for a residential development in Napa, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a 6,900-square-foot residential development; for site work for a residential development; and for asbestos abatement for a residential development.

The work generally consists of demolishing a city-owned building of approximately 6,900 sq. ft. located at 3875 Jefferson Street, including but not limited to; removing and disposing of hazardous materials, surrounding sheds and other miscellaneous items. Bids are required for the entire work described herein. You must possess a Class A license or a combination of Class C - 21 and C - 22 licenses at the time bids are opened. These wages are set forth in the General Prevailing Wage Rates for this project, available at City of Napa and available from the California Department of Industrial Relations' Internet web site at electronically. Customer hereby authorizes and directs Contractor to proceed with its recommended procedures to preserve and protect the Property from further damage resulting of the loss identified above. Customer agrees to provide free and unobstructed access to the Property. Affected Areas: Remove asbestos acoustic treatment from 12* ceiling - approximatelyl728sqft. The laboratory is approved for those specific field(s) of testing/methods listed in the table below. Clients are urged to verify the laboratory's current accreditation status for the particular field(s) of testing/Methods, since these can change due to proficiency status, suspension and/or withdrawal of accreditation. The EPA recognizes the AIHA LAP, LLC ELLAP program as meeting the requirements of the National Lead Laboratory Accreditation Program (NLLAP) established under Title X of the Residential Lead-Based Paint Hazard Reduction Act of 1992 and includes paint, soil and dust wipe analysis. Air and composited wipes analyses are not included as part of the NLLAP A scanned copy of a certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of City of Napa, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory bid bond executed by you and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total of bid, must be submitted (scanned) with each bid. The hard copy version shall be submitted upon further notice from the City. All bidders must purchase a complete bid set from BPXpress Reprographics in order to be considered responsive and to receive addenda notifications. A copy of the bid documents may additionally be viewed at the City of Napa Public Works Department, 1600 First Street, Napa, CA 94559 The successful bidder must provide Performance and Payment (Labor and Materials) Bonds and are required to comply with the insurance requirements set forth in these Special Provisions. Chapter 2.92 of the Napa Municipal Code requires every Contractor or subcontractor with the City of Napa for Public Works Contracts in the sum of $25,000 or more, be subject to Section 101, Napa City Charter. This requires the Contractor to take affirmative action to ensure non-discriminatory employment practices.
