Bituminous Patching/Coating/Surfacing The work generally consists of spray patching shallow potholes less than or equal to 2-inches in depth on approximately twenty (20) miles of City streets. The work is estimated to include: o 1,100 Tons Spray Patching o 850 Hours 4-Person Crew o Mobilization (Lump Sum) o Traffic Control (Lump Sum) This project shall consist of spray patching potholes on City streets identified on the attached project plan sheet. The Contractor shall conduct his work in conformance with the specifications set forth herein and in accordance with the Minnesota Department of Transportation Standard Specification for Construction, 2020 Edition, which is incorporated by reference to these specifications. In addition, the Contractor shall conduct the pothole patching operations in strict conformance with the material manufacturer's written instructions. 2. Project Schedule The City of Ramsey anticipates, but does not guarantee, award of contract for Maintenance Project No. 23-22, 2023 Spray Patching Contracted Services, on July 11, 2023. Construction is anticipated to commence on or about July 24, 2023. 3. Time for Completion and Liquidated Damages The Contractor shall complete the work on or before September 29, 2023. Failure to complete the project within this specified time shall result in the payment as liquidated damages according to the schedule contained in Table 1807-1 of the Minnesota Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Construction, 2020 Edition All bids rejected INTERPRETATIONS AND ADDENDA All questions regarding the Plans and Contract Documents are to be submitted to the Engineering in writing. Addition, revisions, corrections and/or clarifications considered necessary by the Engineer in response to such question will be issued by Addenda posted by the Engineer to the QuestCDN website referenced in the Advertisement for Bids, and emailed to the plan holders in accordance with their notification settings assigned to their QuestCDN account. Responses not deemed necessary or within too short of time period to the receiving of bids may not be issued. Only questions responded to by Addenda will be binding. Oral interpretations to the Contract Documents which are available to the Bidder will be without legal effect.
