Renovation of an educational facility in Edgartown, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The work consists of disconnecting the two electrical panels KP-1 and PPA-1 which are currently only fed by utility power, and reconnecting both Panels to the school's emergency power system. Feeder conduits and conductors are to be provided between the school's main emergency electrical room and the office adjacent to the kitchen to serve panel KP-1. Similar provisions are to be done between the main electrical room and main emergency electrical room to serve panel PPA-1. Minor changes are also required within the electrical rooms as indicated on the plans. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis. A bid deposit shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Workforce Development under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27D, as amended, apply to this project. It is the responsibility of the Contractor, before Bid opening, to request if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed Work under this Contract. Federal Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the United States Department of Labor under the Davis-Bacon Act also apply to this project. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents shall be submitted in writing to the Engineer via the Tighe & Bond website for bidding document distribution
