This project is part of the City of Waterbury's Sanitary Sewer and Evaluation Survey (SSES), program, which is an on-going effort by the City to reduce and eliminate storm water connections to the City's sanitary sewer system. There are (2) storm water connections that will be disconnected, one on Willow Street and one on Perkins Avenue. It will involve disconnecting the pipe from the sanitary sewer manhole by plugging both ends with masonry and installing a total of approximately 880' of 15" HDPE pipe (High Density Polyethlene), 7 catch basins, 1 manhole, pavement restoration and other incidental related work. A 4" underdrain will be installed in the drainage pipe trench in Willow Street and any yard drains will also be connected to the 15" HDPE pipe with a 6" drainage pipe. Additionally, a 6" pvc drainage pipe connected to the 15" HDPE, will be installed in front of each house for future use, if needed, the exact location of which will be determined in the field at the time of construction. All questions, requests for clarification and communications about this RFP and submission requirements must be submitted through the City of Waterbury and must be received by 2:00 PM on July 7, 2023. Prospective Proposers must limit their contact regarding this RFP to the Purchasing Director or such other person otherwise designated by the Purchasing Director. Addenda responding to questions submitted by the above date or identified at any Information Session to be held in regard to this RFP, along with any changes or amendments to this RFP, will be available via the City of Waterbury by 2:00 PM on July 11, 2023. The Proposer agrees that the proposal will remain valid for a period of One Hundred Twenty (120) consecutive calendar days after the closing date for the proposal submission and may be extended beyond that time by mutual agreement. The City reserves the right to award in part, to reject any and all Proposals in whole or in part for misrepresentation or if the Proposer is in default of any prior City contract, or if the Proposal impermissibly limits or modifies any of the terms and conditions and/or specifications of the RFP. The City also reserves the right to waive technical defects, irregularities and omissions if, in its judgment, the best interest of the City will be served Bid(10%), Performance(100%), Payment(100%)
