Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to an educational facility in York, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; and 92,000-square-foot educational facility.

https://www.yorktownship.com/boards/planning-commission/ P2023-3-1 and LD2023-3-1 Leader Heights Elementary School Expansion, Final Subdivision and Land Development Plan, 49 Indian Rock Dam Road --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The work includes comprehensive upgrades and additions to the existing Leaders Heights Elementary School which will total approximately 92,000 square feet once complete. The work is to be completed on the existing 1.85 acre site. The existing school facility will remain in operation, with the work conducted in two (2) primary phases. Work includes, but is not limited to: selective demolition to accomplish new work, reinforced concrete foundations, concrete slabs on grade, metal roof deck supported by steel bar joists, beams supported by CMU load-bearing walls and in select areas a structural steel frame. The entire existing roofing system will be replaced with an EPDM fully adhered roofing system. The existing roofing system shall be removed down to existing deck and the EPDM fully adhered roofing system is to be placed over new tapered insulation as well as continuously sloped roof structure. New areas of roof will be supported by metal roof deck and acoustical metal roof deck. Existing areas to be re-roofed are primarily gypsum roof decking with miscellaneous areas of existing metal roof deck infill. In select areas the new metal roof deck is supported by glulam beams. The exterior walls are clad in brick veneer and metal panel vertical siding. Exterior openings are primarily aluminum storefront system. Interior partitions are a mixture of CMU, load-bearing CMU, and metal stud partitions with impact resistant gypsum board. Interior doors are primarily solid core wood doors or hollow metal doors in hollow metal frames with some areas having interior aluminum storefront doors and frames. Finish flooring materials include Terrazzo, LVT and Ceramic tile. The project includes full replacement and expansion of all existing utility and site utility connections as well as all mechanical, plumbing, electrical, technology and access control systems. The entire building will receive a fire suppression system and the building area will be divided by a two-hour fire wall. New food service equipment and gymnasium equipment and accessories are included within the project. Asbestos abatement will occur during the various construction phases under a separate contract, coordinated with the construction schedule. Areas to be abated in the existing building include, but are not limited to: pipe fitting insulation, floor tile, exterior transite panels and hot water tank insulation. Total construction cost estimate: $31 Million The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
