Renovation of a pre-engineered storage facility in Horicon, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a pre-engineered storage facility.
The principal items for which proposals are invited are: 1 LS Fabric Covered Salt Storage Building Scope of Work The work under this item shall consist of design, furnishing and fabricating all fabric, supporting steel members, fittings, accessories, doors and cast-in-place concrete required to construct a 32-foot wide by 56- foot-long tension fabric covered steel frame salt storage building capable of housing 600 tons of road salt in accordance with the project plans. The building shall be weather tight, and suitable for the storage of salt and other materials used for roadway abrasives. The design of the foundations of the building shall be provided as part of the manufacturer's building design, based on information obtained by means of a subsurface investigation and geotechnical analysis. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be submitted to Engineer in writing. Replies will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids will not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
