Site work, paving and renovation of a bridge / tunnel in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
This project includes the MacKay Bridge suspended spans deck resurfacing, orthotropic steel plate deck fabrication and panel replacement at H3 and M21: This Work shall consist of five major components, and their associated parts: a. Fabrication of up to 6 (six) new OSPD panels including splice plates; b. Removal and replacement of 2 (two) new OSPD panels, at segments H3 (Halifax side span) and M21 (centre span) c. Development and fabrication of one new OSPD panel repair mock-up; d. Preparation of laboratory samples (from the removed deck panels) for testing; and e. Resurfacing of South lane between Halifax Cable Bent and the Dartmouth Cable Bent (762m long).
