The project consists of limited repairs to the exterior envelope components of the Central Facility building. The building shall be constructed so as to meet all requirements of the Massachusetts State Building Code, current edition, in addition to all other applicable codes and regulations. b. The facility currently houses laboratories and offices and is a 2-story structure, of Construction Classification IIA, for Use Group Business (B). c. The structural system is steel framing with concrete floor slabs and foundation. The east elevation exterior wall assembly consists of face concrete masonry unit cladding over concrete masonry unit backup wall. d. Excavation and associated work is a delegated design to the General Contractor. Refer to Excavation Delegated Design Notes on the Contract Drawings, Sheet C001.
