The MHEC is seeking qualified suppliers to establish a multi-vendor, regional (New England) contract that satisfies the needs of its diverse membership for the purchase of items, on an as-needed basis, pertaining to the establishment and maintenance of playgrounds, parks, outdoor shelters, and outdoor recreational facilities. The resulting publicly bid comprehensive master agreement is intended to provide members significant savings for all their purchasing needs related to supplies and services utilized in support of member-operated playgrounds, parks, and recreation facilities and the enhanced experience of future patrons. The MHEC membership includes municipalities, libraries, K-12 schools, higher education institutions, and not-for-profit organizations. Items included in this solicitation are any supply or service involved in the establishing or maintenance of playgrounds, parks, outdoor shelters, and outdoor recreational facilities. The term of this contract is five (5) years. If it is in the best interest of the membership, the MHEC may choose to evaluate and extend additional terms thereafter. Items also covered by this solicitation include accessible and inclusive playground equipment, adventure courses, air supported domes, park and recreational lighting, custom-made equipment, incidental materials, required installation, as well as any other relevant tool in the operation of outdoor recreational facilities.
