The work under this contract shall consist of removal of sidewalk and curb and gutter, salvaging and reinstalling existing brick pavers, common excavation, base aggregate dense, concrete curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, landscaping, and all incidental items necessary to complete the work as described in this contract. PROSECUTION AND PROGRESS: General Weather permitting, work may begin any time after execution of the contract and all work shall be completed by October 13 th , 2023, with the exceptions as noted below. No work shall take place on Jefferson Street/3 rd Street orJefferson Street/4 th Street until after August 23 rd , 2023. All sidewalks within the project limits shall be open for use on September 9 th and September 10 th , 2023. Removal/Replacement Time: When a removal is made (sidewalk, curb and gutter, pavement), the Contractor shall have the new concrete poured within 7 calendar days of removal. Any days beyond 7 calendar days for each replacement the City will be enforcing the contract language in the General Conditions, Article 41 (Liquidated Damages) on page 27 of the General Conditions. Restoration Timeline: All topsoil, seeding and restoration must be complete 7 days after pouring the concrete.
