Site work and new construction of a library in Ashford, Alabama. Completed plans call for the construction of a library.
Construction of a New Ashford Branch for Dothan Houston County Library System, Ashford, Alabama All bidders must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama 1975. If plans and specifications are not returned or if a bona fide bid is not submitted, the deposit will not be refunded. Subcontractors and material suppliers may obtain whole or partial sets of plans and specifications by paying the cost of reproduction and mailing charges. Refunds will not be made on such sets. Proposals shall be submitted on forms included in the specifications or copies thereof and shall be accompanied by Bid Bond or Certified Check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the maximum bid price, but in no event more than ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00). Checks shall be made payable to the DOTHAN HOUSTON COUNTY LIBRARY SYSTEM. All contracts exceeding $10,000 shall contain a provision requiring compliance with Executive Order 11246, entitled, "Equal Employment Opportunity," as amended by Executive Order 11375 and as supplemented in Department of Labor regulations (41 CFR Part 60). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the time and date set for the bid opening The accepted bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond both in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and formalities.
