The Houston County School District/Board of Education is seeking bids for the supply and installation of a new canopy for Rehobeth Middle School. Bids must be submitted prior to the specified bid opening date and time. The contract will be awarded to the most responsive bidder offering a proposal that is considered most acceptable and advantageous to the Houston County School System. All contracts are contingent upon approval by the Houston County Board of Education. Bidders are responsible for being aware of existing conditions, and no claims will be considered based on lack of knowledge. Any changes or questions about the bid request will be posted on the Houston County webpage. Sealed bids must be delivered to the specified address and marked appropriately. Late, faxed, or electronic bids will not be considered. Failure to provide the requested information in the requested format is grounds for rejection without consideration. Scope of work : o Supply and install new canopy which will be tied into existing canopy located at the front of RMS building and extend to RHS ROTC building and tie into building above southern facing doors, canopy will continue along southern side of building and tie into north facing doors on Band building from there extend to rear canopy on gymnasium. o Fascia to be .100-gauge extruded aluminum 4 inches wide by 7 1/2 inch deep. All corners to be mitered and locked together with 1 1/2 " x 1 1/2 " aluminum angle sealed with silicone. Outside corners to be cover by 1 1/2 " x 1 1/2 " trim angle. o Roof decking to be .032 thickness roll former aluminum panels.
