The Kent County Purchasing Division is soliciting proposals for Correctional Grade Stationary Exercise Equipment Stations intended for inmates at the Kent County Correctional Facility. Kent County Correctional Facility is looking for 11 durable strong steeled, tamperproof exercise equipment stations with no moving parts to be used by inmates. Installation to be performed at the Correctional Facility by the Respondent. o (11) pieces of exercise equipment that have multiple workout stations per unit. A minimum of 5 workout stations and a minimum of 10 activities to be used by 4 individuals at one time per unit. o No movable, removable or detachable parts or pads. o Fully powder coated, repairable, weatherproof and durable material to withstand daily use. o All fasteners (nuts, bolts, screws, etc.) must be tamper proof, security grade (security torx, snake bite, triangle, one way) to prevent inmate tampering, loosening, and/or removal. o Must include mounting plate or concrete anchor and bolt to concrete. Unit must be designed to anchor to a poured concrete, CMU (concrete masonry unit), or brick wall. o Maximum size of unit must be 5'x8' or smaller. o Must be designed for individuals weighing up to 350lbs. o User instructions to be printed on the device. o All pieces must fit through a 30" opening. The units must be transported in one piece, or in several smaller sections, pass through all openings, and be assembled in the designated areas. o Respondent must include terms of equipment warranty. o Price must include delivery and installation to Grand Rapids, MI 49503 (Dock is available for delivery) o Installation of equipment by Respondent is desired. If Correctional Facility will be performing any portion of the installation, Respondent must provide detailed installation instructions and certify that installation by Correctional Facility does not void any portion of the equipment warranty. o Respondent shall outline replacement parts available. o Respondent must specify delivery date and installation timeline in proposal. The Kent County Standard Submission Terms posted on the Bid Opportunities page of the Kent County Purchasing Division website are incorporated by reference and shall be deemed to have the same force and effect as if fully set forth herein. Kent County reserves the right to determine the response format or not respond, at its sole discretion. Provide 3 references of current/past customers who can verify the quality of products and/or services of similar size and scope your company provides. References may not include any current/past Kent County employees. All goods shall consist of the original manufacturer warranty in addition to any other warranties specified in this Solicitation. Respondent shall execute all documents necessary to transfer applicable express warranties to Kent County. The Respondent shall not disclaim any warranty recognized by Michigan law including the Warranty of Merchantability or the warranty of Fitness for a Particular Purpose. The County will evaluate the proposals based on multiple factors including but not limited to price, product functionality, delivery, warranty, and fitness of purpose for the Correctional Facility. The time required to upload a submission may vary. Respondent assumes all risks associated with electronic submission, including technological difficulties, and deems the County and its service provider harmless and without fault. Successful electronic submissions are confirmed via Respondent's email. Respondent shall view the link in the confirmation email to determine accuracy prior to due date/time. A submission constitutes an irrevocable offer for a period of 45 days from the due date/time. In the event the notification of award is not made within 45 days from the due date/time, the Respondent may withdraw or provide a written extension of their submission. Submissions may only be withdrawn by written request if the request is received before the due date/time. Withdrawals after opening shall be subject to Kent County Fiscal Policy - Centralized Purchasing 5(i)(2).
