Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Abilene, Kansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
The City of Abilene, Kansas, is seeking proposals for a new roof coating and repairs for the City of Abilene, Kansas, Parks and Recreation Department, Community Center, located at 1020 NW 8th Street, Abilene, Kansas. Bidders must specify a bid proposal that addresses all the following: Removal and cleanup of current dirt and debris. Removal of all existing foam and previous roof coating being replaced. A plan for diverting and draining water out and around the roof-mounted HVAC units to prevent standing water on the roof. Sealing around all roof joints, flashing, roof hardware and the HVAC units. Applying new roof coating and sealers to prevent any leaks. Clean up of the job site and removal of all waste from the project. Questions regarding this RFP must be emailed by July 28, 2023, to the Facilities Maintenance Specialist, Brenden Alvarez, brenden@abilenecityhall.com. All questions asked and answered during the site visit or emailed will be answered in an Addendum to this RFP emailed and posted to the website by Monday, July 31, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. Recommendation of Contract to City Commission - August 14, 2023 (no later than August 28, 2023) Expected Contract Award - No later than August 29, 2023.
