The Town of Braintree hereby solicits bids for installation of high friction crosswalks in the vicinity of South Braintree Square and The Landing as determined and directed by the Department of Public Works - Engineering Division. The attached map includes the approximate scope of work, which includes filling fifteen (15) crosswalks with high friction surface treatment. This is approximately 5,600 sf of high friction surface treatment. The high friction surface treatment must be blue in color matching existing blue crosswalks within the Town of Braintree. The color of the high friction surface treatment shall be approved by the Department of Public Works - Engineering Division prior to installation. Questions will be accepted until July 31st, 2023 @ 12:00 PM The successful bidder will be required to conform to the payment of Prevailing Wage Rates, as determined by the Commissioner of Labor & Industries under the provision of M.G.L. Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27D as amended. All bids must be accompanied by a returnable bid deposit in an amount that is five percent (5%) of the value of the bid. A 50 % Payment bond is required and NO Performance Bond is required. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids or to accept any part of a bid or the one deemed best for the Town and waive any informality in the bidding if it is in the best interest of the Town to do so.
