* 2023 Mettawa Pavement Rehabilitation Program* The work consists of culvert construction, grading, culvert pipe replacement, pavement removal and replacement, and shoulder construction All questions concerning the bid document or specifications must be submitted via email to the Village Engineer. A written response will then be provided to all known bidders. No interpretations, clarifications or addenda will be issued after the fourth day prior to the scheduled bid opening All proposals must be accompanied by a proposal guaranty in the amount of 10% of the total bid in the form of a bid bond or certified check made payable to the Village of Mettawa The Village reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to waive any in informalities, irregularities, or defect in a proposal, should it deem it to be in the best interest of the Village to do so. The bid will be awarded, if at all, to the lowest responsible bidder as determined by the Village which will take into consideration the qualifications of the bidder, including but not limited to the proposed amount, conformity with the specifications, and any other information which will assist in making a decision The Little Melody Lane work consists of milling 3" from the existing pavement and resurfacing with 1-1/2" of hot-mix asphalt binder course, crack control geotextile, and 1-1/2" of hot-mix asphalt surface course, partial depth hot-mix asphalt patching, shoulder construction, and parkway damage restoration. The Little St. Mary's Road work consists of milling 1-1/2" butt joints at each end of the project, resurfacing with 1-1/2" of hot-mix asphalt surface course, partial depth hot-mix asphalt patching, shoulder resurfacing, and parkway damage restoration. Various pavement markings, culvert construction, culvert replacement, and driveway apron resurfacing are included. The project limits are as described herein and as directed by the Engineer (Resident Engineer, James Anderson Company).
