General Intent: The general intent of the scope of work for the modular classroom as shown on the drawings for design intent, function and performance/ Each manufacturer/ contractor submitting a proposal shall describe in detail how their system shall meet the design intent in the most efficient and cost-effective manner A certified check made payable to the "City of Lowell" in the amount of 5% must accompany this bid. Bid bonds are acceptable. A payment bond in the amount of 100% of the total dollar award is required prior to contract execution. A performance bond in the amount of 100% of the total dollar award is required prior to contract execution Attention of the Bidders is particularly called to the requirements of the conditions of employment to be observed and the prevailing wage rates to be paid on this project, as determined by the State Department of Labor and Industries. MBE's and WBE's are encouraged to submit proposals. EOE/AA. Bidder further agrees to pay as liquidated damages, the sum of $ 500.00 for each consecutive calendar day thereafter as hereinafter provided. Bidder understands that the OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding.
