Site work for a civil project in Nelson, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
This contract is with BC Timber sales in the Kootenay Business area and the project consists of 2.2km of new road construction. The road construction involves all phases of road construction including timber cut and removal, end haul, drill and blast rock and surfacing. Complete delivery and install and removal and delivery one all steel portable bridge as a temporary work bridge. Coordinate delivery and install of one composite concrete bridge, per attached Construction Environmental Management plan and N5-273 drawings. All works to conform with the attached "Construction Environmental Management Plan". All culvert installs over 800mm must be compacted with a 900lb plate compactor in 300mm lifts. This work is included in the "Culvert Install" payment category. All road sections must be constructed in accordance with Appendix II Road Design & Cross Sections unless otherwise directed. Changes will be required where material types do not match the design. Supply, delivery and installation of all culverts are the responsibility of the contractor.
