Great River Greening suggests interested firms consider the Work Plan and Specifications, which provides a full description of the requested project services, before submitting a proposal and quote. Material disposal will be required and should be included in this quote. Great River Greening, in partnership with the City of Stillwater, intends to oversee and implement ecological habitat enhancement on 5.5 main acres of natural area Lumberjack Landing through understory enhancement. Requested services for this project include: Initial removal of invasive woody shrubs in fall 2023 or winter 2023 / 2024. Black locust tree removal and material disposal in fall 2023 or winter 2023 / 2024. First year invasive woody shrub regrowth foliar treatment or mechanical recutting in late summer / fall 2024. Second year invasive woody shrub regrowth foliar treatment or mechanical recutting in late summer / fall 2025. INTERACTION WITH NEARBY PROPERTIES AND SITE ACCESS: The Service Provider shall direct any concerned parties to the Project Manager. Nearby properties include the following: Brown's Creek State Trail occurs on the western side of the property. Private property occurs on the north and south sides of the property. The St. Croix River comprises the eastern boundary. ACCESS TO WORK SITE The work area can be accessed via the driveway off the St. Croix Trail N / Hwy 95, north of Elm St. E. The driveway and turnaround adjacent to the building on the property can be used for vehicle staging.
