Question Deadline 10/20/2023 at 11:59 PM CT The State reserves the right to negotiate contractual terms and conditions other than those in the State of Wisconsin Contract when it is in the best interest of the State to do so. If subcontractors are to be used, the Contractor must name the subcontractor clearly explain their participation. The State reserves the right to determine whether the named subcontractor is fit and capable to perform the required work. Each bidder shall submit, with the bid, supporting data regarding the qualifications of the contractor in order to determine whether the contractor is qualified and responsible along with the subcontractor’s license(s). The contemplated contract from this RFB shall be for the provision of janitorial services to the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) Division of Forensic Sciences (DFS) located at 7100 Stewart Ave in Wausau, Wisconsin. The building is a one (1) story office with a total of 12,487 square feet of floor space. 12,487 sq. ft. building provides criminal investigative services that houses approximately 17 employees. The floors are covered with either carpet and/or tile. The office and work areas have cubical workstations or office rooms. The suspended ceiling contains lights, ductwork, cable trays, sprinkler system, smoke detectors and emergency exit signs, etc. The building is highly secure due to its investigative functions and sensitive evidence storage contents. Bids from certified Minority Business Enterprises may be provided up to a five percent (5%) bid preference in accordance with Wis. Stats. s. 16.75(3m).
