Project work involves construction of a covered sport court facility including: Selective site demolition, concrete foundations and floor slab, structural steel frame enclosure over sports courts, glue-laminated wood roof purlins and plywood roof deck, prefinished standing seam metal roofing system, sheet metal flashings and gutters, basketball backstops, volleyball equipment, painting, electrical receptacles, lighting and minor site improvements. Bid Range: $1,450,000.00 to 1,700,000.00 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. A certified check, a bank cashiers check, or a bid bond executed by a State licensed surety company made payable to City of Sumner is required with each bid, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Base Bid plus Additive Alternates, if any. PREVAILING RATE OF WAGE: Pursuant to RCW 39.12, no worker, laborer, or mechanic employed in the performance of any part of this contract shall be paid less than the 'prevailing rate of wage' (in effect as the date the bids are due) as determined by the Industrial Statistician of the Department of Labor and Industries. Copies of the prevailing wage rate schedule are available directly from the Department of Labor and Industries. The project is located in Pierce County. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities and to reject any and/or all Bids for any reason and in particular to reject a bid not accompanied by any required bid security or data required by the Bidding Documents or a Bid in any way incomplete or irregular.
