Renovation of a detention facility in Wilmington, Delaware. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

Project involves: The scope of work for this project includes design services to renovate the wire mesh steel cages that are on top of the West Side housing unit yards. Work includes but is not limited to the removal of existing steel hold-down channels, removal of existing fence mesh and installing new security mesh panels in tube steel frames at 19 yard locations. Bidders will not be subject to discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or national origin in consideration of this award, and Minority Business Enterprises, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, Women-Owned Business Enterprises and Veteran-Owned Business Enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids on this contract. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security equivalent to ten percent of the bid amount and all additive alternates. The successful bidder must post a performance bond and payment bond in a sum equal to 100 percent of the contract price upon execution of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities therein. The Owner may extend the time and place for the opening of the bids from that described in the advertisement, with not less than two calendar days notice by certified delivery, facsimile machine, or other electronic means to those bidders' receiving plans. Questions regarding the bid documents will be received until 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. All questions must be submitted in writing (via email, addressed to Jim Ament (jim@rgarchitects.net) to R G Architects. Neither R G Architects nor the Owner will answer questions verbally. 5. The last day for addenda to be issued, if required, shall be Wednesday, July 3, 2024. Project Description: A brief overview of the Project was discussed by the project team to review the project scope, viewing plans and details. B. Project Schedule: The project tentative start date will be as soon as the winning bidder has been selected and a DFM Purchase Order issued.
