The City of New Richmond is seeking Bids to prep, form and pour concrete surface located at Hatfield Park. Questions for the City of New Richmond should be gathered into one email communication from the prospective bidder and submitted to Rob Weldon, Operations Manager, at rweldon@newrichmondwi.gov . All inquiries must be received by August 23, 2023 Bids shall remain valid for 60 days from the bid receipt date.
The City of New Richmond seeks a contractor to form and pour concrete surface located at Hatfield
Park. The following tasks are estimated but not limited to the following: (Contractor shall be
responsible for complete list of tasks to complete the project)
**City of New Richmond will be responsible for removal of existing asphalt surface
**City of New Richmond will supply and transport any base material
Concrete Slab
o Concrete
o Install minimum 8" compacted aggregate base material to prepare for slab.
o 5,300 sq/ ft Concrete slab to be minimum 4" thick.
- Reinforce slab with 6x6 - w1.4xw1.4 welded wire fabric at mid-depth.
- Lap fabric splices at 8".
o Install control joints 6-foot on center.
o Concrete slab shall slope to provide drainage (verify drainage layout with City)
o Surface is to have a light broom or wood trowel finish.
o Concrete compressive strength shall be 3500 psi at 28 days.
o Restoration
o Turf and asphalt restoration to be completed by City.
This project and the proposal cost shall include all design, approved plan meeting all required state
codes, all labor, all materials, and disposal costs and also include the following:
o Prior to commencement of construction, Contractor shall submit all drawings, cut-sheets,
and equipment specifications to City for approval.
o All construction, labor, and materials required for finished project.
o General clean-up
