Contractors are asked to get all questions in by August 24, 2023, by 5:00 pm, and substitution requests in by the end of the day on August 22, 2023, to be included in the addendum. Work includes but not limited to demolition of interior walls, ceilings, floor slab and mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection in the existing Market Place Suite A, B, and C. Renovations of the existing suites including new walls, ceilings, finishes, case work and roof system. Construction of the new high bay addition including all built in equipment, site, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection work. Bid security in the form of a certified check or bank draft, payable to Rend Lake College, or a satisfactory bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract sum to insure completion of the contract. The Rend Lake College reserves the right to waive all informalities in the bidding. The contract award will be made to the responsible bidder submitting the lowest acceptable bid responsive to the bid conditions. Prevailing wage rates shall apply to work performed in this contract. All workers who perform work at the site will be required to be paid not less than the rates listed by the applicable wage determination.
