The Finger Lakes DDSO is soliciting bids for Window Replacements at our Eagle St IRA located at 32 Eagle St, Phelps, NY 14532. This is a NYS public works project and prevailing wages must be paid. Contract term: 30 days after completion of project Eagle St. Window Replacement. Replace Eight windows with fiberglass framed prime new
construction windows as described in the specification sheet. These windows are six in the front
bump out, one in the half bath, and one in the kitchen. The vendor shall provide all labor and
materials necessary to complete the work in a professional manner according to scope of work and
architectural drawings if supplied. Work is to be completed within 90 days of award, unless modified
below. This is a NYS Public Works project and prevailing wages are to be paid. Refer to attached
specification for the following scope of work. Site must be cleaned, and all materials secured at the
end of each work day. Absolutely no scraps, especially fasteners, are to be left unsecured. Upon
completion of Eagle St Window Replacement, before removal of equipment and scaffolding,
contractor is to schedule a quality control and quality assurance inspection with Point of Contact. SCOPE OF WORK includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following:
1. Remove the exterior trim carefully so it can be reused
2. Remove the interior trim carefully so that it can be reused
3. Remove the existing windows
4. Replace the windows with Pella Impervia fiberglass or equivalent fiberglass prime new
construction windows. Install them according to manufacturer's specifications.
5. Insulate the new windows around the perimeter with fiberglass insulation or nonexpanding window insulation
6. Tape the nail fin to the sheathing/existing Tyvek with Tyvek tape
7. Replace the trim inside and out. Additional trim may be required and will be supplied
by the contractor. Any damaged trim must be replaced and painted to match the rest
of the trim. The trim must blend seamlessly with the rest of the building/room/other
trim.
8. Caulk the window with 230 paintable caulk where appropriate
9. All debris will be removed from the job site and disposed of properly by the contractor
