The sealed bids must be delivered to the Township Clerk, during regular business hours, prior to the stated bid opening time. This project consists of the HMA patching, HMA leveling binder by machine, Bituminous Cover and Seal Coats, PCC Gutter removal and replacement and incidental seeding of impacted residential yards on Powder Mill Road, Brookhill Point, Autumn Lane, Fairway Drive, E. Fairway Drive, S. Fairway Drive, Roberta Lane and Paddock Road in Stookey Township. The project is located in the SW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 and the NW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 2 Township 1 North, Range 9 West of the 3rd Principal Meridian. No less than the prevailing rate of wages, as determined in accordance with the Illinois Prevailing Wage, shall be paid to all laborers, operators, teamsters, masons, plumbers, and any workmen employed in construction on this project. All work shall be performed in accordance with the IDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction edition in effect at the time of the bid. Each Bidder must be IDOT pre-qualified in the categories of (5) HMA Paving and (15) Cover and Seal Coats (Type A and Type B). In addition, each Bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the Bidder's total bid price, such security being an acceptable bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond or Letter of Credit in the full amount of the bid. No Bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Stookey Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or technicalities in the bidding.
