Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Newport, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Remove and dispose of damaged bridge abutments and wingwalls, and replace with retaining wall and rip-rap in accordance with the Contract Documents Disaster No. 4472DR / Damage No. 371340 This project is being funded in part by a grant from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC). The requirements ofthe grant specify Minority and Women Owned Businesses (MWBE) participation goal of 20%, which shall be required ofthe Contractor. Location Woodchuck Hill Road Bridge crossing White Creek in the Town of Newport Bids must be submitted on the forms furnished and must not be detached from the Contract Documents book. Bids must be accompanied by a deposit via certified check or bank cashier's check, made payable to the Town of Newport, or a Bid Bond, in the amount of 5% of the total Bid. A Statement of Surety's Consent must accompany each Bid. Failure to submit a Bid Bond or certified check with the Bid will result in automatic disqualification of the Bid. Failure to submit a Bid on the forms furnished or submittal of forms detached from the Contract Documents book will result in automatic disqualification of the Bid. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Bond each for an amount not less than 100% of the Bid price
