Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Newport, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The project will consist of the full depth reconstruction of 0.6 miles of Old State Road, and milling and resurfacing of 0.4 miles of Bridge Street, in the Town and Village of Newport. The work will include, but is not limited to: full depth reconstruction or resurfacing of asphalt pavement, installation of concrete curb and closed drainage, culvert replacements, sidewalk replacement, replacement of approximately 1,100 feet of water main and service reconnections, and related driveway and landscape restoration. Sealed bids must be plainly marked with: Sealed Bid - Rehabilitation of Bridge Street (CR 200) and Old State Road (CR 200) Copies of the Contract Documents are on file at the Herkimer County Highway Department, 313 Third Avenue, Herkimer, NY 13350 and may be examined, at no expense, between the hours of 8:00 am -12:00pm and 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm local time Monday through Friday. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of 5 percent (5%) of the gross amount of the bid. The bidder to whom the Contract is awarded will be required to furnish performance, payment, and guarantee bonds from an acceptable Surety Company for an amount not less than 100% of the accepted bid. The Right is Reserved to Reject Any and All Bids.
