The Contractor(s) will provide Construction Manager as a Constructor for Construction Projects on an as needed basis. The CM Services will be required on MacEwan University site during university business hours, but also evenings and weekends, as determined by the project. The Contractor(s) may, at times, be required to respond to urgent requests for Services. The intention of this RFSQ is to retain a qualified and experienced Construction Manager(s) to provide construction management services to MacEwan University. MacEwan University intends to enter into an Agreement with the successful Respondent(s) for a term of three (3) years, with an option to renew for an additional term of three (3) years. The selected CM(s) are expected to complete numerous construction projects in the required timeframes. MacEwan University will evaluate and may short list Respondents with the intention of selecting up to two (2) Respondents that MacEwan University deems best able to offer Construction Manager services to meet MacEwan University's needs. Most projects will be interior tenant improvement and building infrastructure upgrade projects. The projects will involve renovations to existing space on campus, including office areas, classrooms, computer and science labs, instructional labs, the library, and other areas at MacEwan University, including exterior roofing, asphalt, concrete and landscape locations. The following are key objectives that MacEwan University is seeking to achieve through any Agreement that may result from this RFSQ: Assurance of reliable and efficient Construction Manager Services. Reduce operating costs. Optimize operational efficiencies. Increase construction quality - obtain the best quality service at the best price. Provide effective reporting and communication. Define roles, responsibilities, and accountability. Prepare accurate construction cost estimates and identify relevant project risks. The initial term of the agreement will be from January 02, 2024, to January 01, 2027, with a possible One (1) renewal term of Three (3) additional year(s).
