Snow Removal Main Street Sidewalks Question Deadline 08/31/2023 at 3:00 PM CT It is the intention of this contract that the successful Bidder will provide equipment and manpower to respond and perform snow removal services within the specified area, as provided below. Snow crews are to be dispatched at an accumulation of 1 inch of snow to clear sidewalks/paths. At an accumulation of 1/8" of sleet, freezing rain or at 1 inch of snow, chemical trucks will be dispatched for an application of Potassium Chloride. If snow or ice is forecasted for, sidewalks will be pre-treated with Potassium Chloride. Pre-Treatment of Potassium Chloride which is applied outside of a forecasted A.M. rush hour event will not be paid. The City of Saint Charles reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The City reserves the right to waive any variances from original bid specifications in cases where the variances are considered to be in the best interest of the City.
