When specified in the Call for Bid, the successful bidder shall be required to furnish, as a part of the contract acceptance, a Purchase Contract Performance Bond, in the amount specified. Upon receipts of the completed Purchase Contract Performance Bond form the successful bidder, the City Purchasing Agent will issue a Purchase Order. In lieu of said bond, a certified check drawn upon a State or National Bank or Trust Company shall be deposited with the City Clerk. In the event a Purchase Contract Performance Bond is not required, and the vendor breaches the contract, the vendor shall be liable for liquidated damages in the amount specified in the Call for Bid. All inquiries must be submitted to the Purchasing Agent no later than 1:30 PM, Monday, September 1, 2023. In the event the proposal herein is accepted by the City and the vendor breaches the contract, the vendor shall be liable for liquidated damages in the amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid.The successful bidder shall furnish certificates of insurance issued by an insurance company authorized to\do business in the State of Texas. The certificate shall provide that the coverage not be reduced or cancelled without thirty (30) days advance written notice to the City, and shall provide the following coverage: Contractor shall provide comprehensive general liability insurance having limits no less than $100,000. each occurrence; $300,000 aggregate; or $300,000. combined limits and, in either case, an excess policy with limits to $1,000,000 The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, or any part thereof, and to accept that offer considered most advantageous to the City. The City may also waive any minor informalities or irregularities in any bid.
