The Kent County Purchasing Division is soliciting bids for Roof tear off and replacement and installation of new Septic System with site restoration.Dimensions, if furnished, are for general reference only and should be verified by Respondent. Kent County will award and contract for the goods and services in this Solicitation in an efficient and timely manner. In no event will notification of award be more than 45 days from the date of submission. The Kent County Standard Submission Terms posted on the Bid Opportunities page of the Kent County Purchasing Division website are incorporated by reference and shall be deemed to have the same force and effect as if fully set forth herein. INQUIRIES Any and all communication regarding this Solicitation shall be on the Kent County Purchasing Division Inquiry Blog via the Bid Opportunities page or during pre-proposal meetings. Kent County reserves the right to determine the response format or not respond, at its sole discretion. Inquiries Deadline Date & Time (local) 9/8/2023, 2 PM. Attendee will not be allowed to sign in after the conference has commenced at mandatory meetings and is disqualified from participating in this Solicitation. The conference provides equal opportunity to seek clarifications and inspect the location (if applicable). Attendee shall have fully reviewed all Solicitation documents and correspondence prior to the conference. Attendee is responsible for taking meeting notes and shall be an employee or authorized reseller of the Respondent with requisite knowledge, skill, and abilities to participate. CONTRACTING WITH SMALL MINORITIES AND WOMEN BUSINESSES Bidders are encouraged to establish delivery schedules and divide total requirements, when economically feasible, into smaller tasks or quantities to permit maximum participation by small and minority businesses, and women's business enterprises. Kent County encourages bidders to use small business associations, minority business development groups, and local organizations when soliciting potential subcontractors for this project. Project Sign Requirements A project sign is to be installed in a prominent and accessible location at the project work site to inform the public of project activity. The back of the project sign may be used to post required notices outlined in the Federal Labor Standards. The project sign is to be maintained in good condition, visible to the public and workers, throughout the entire construction period. Project Sign is intended to be temporary and removed upon project completion. Determining Number of Project Signs: At least one project sign is necessary for each work site. When project activity is conducted at separate locations more than 660 feet (1/8 mile) apart, one project sign is necessary at each location. Multiple project signs are necessary at larger work sites that have road frontage of more than 300 feet, or an area larger than 43,560 square feet (1 acre). One project sign is required for each acre or for every 300 feet of road frontage. Project signs should be installed no closer than 200 feet apart. Installation: Durable installation methods and materials shall be used to provide stability against wind and other elements. Required Federal Postings: Required postings may printed or securely fastened to reverse side of project sign. Construction Material: Plywood or Corrugated Plastic Minimum Dimensions: 24" horizontal x 18" vertical
