Renovation of a mixed-use development in Farmington, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; laboratory facility; and medical facility.
UConn Health (UCH) will be soliciting contractor proposals for the replacement of existing rooftop mechanical equipment servicing the Human Anatomy Lab, along with related interior renovations of the existing lab space located at 263 Farmington Ave. Farmington, CT, to create a Human Anatomy Lab compliant with all current applicable federal, state and local codes. Interior improvements include new suspended ceiling system, general lighting upgrades, new MEP/FP distribution and tie-in to existing systems, new dissection tables, finish flooring, storage cabinetry and installation of data/media/public address systems. The renovation will require working in an active/occupied academic setting. Infection Control (ICRA) and Life Safety (ILSM) measures will need to be followed on this project. Renovation scope includes finishes, MEP/FP distribution and tie-ins to existing infrastructure, plumbing, medical gas piping, fire alarm, data and security. Construction is anticipated to start October 2023. Completion is expected August 2024. *This project is being bid by invitation only.
