The estimated construction budget is $70,000. The City of Zeeland is accepting bids for the Demolition of Building 135/137 East Main Avenue. Performance and Labor and Material Bonds will not be required for the project if the bid amount is less than $50,000. In the event a contractor's bid is over $50,000, the bidder is to include the cost of a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond as part of their bid. Provide Liability Insurance and a Certificate of Insurance showing the City of Zeeland as additional insured with a liability coverage of at least $2,000,000. As is such, the successful bidder shall be required to hold the City of Zeeland harmless from any liability in connection with the required work. Funding for the project is through a State of Michigan grant but payment will be made by the City of Zeeland. While the project does not require the payment of prevailing wages, there are specific grant requirements which are included as Attachment A to this bid form. The successful bidder shall comply with all ordinances of the City of Zeeland in conjunction with the performance of the project. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities and to award bids in its own best interest.
